Lord Byron is expecting you...
About
Welcome to Villa Diodati.
The year is 1816.
A volcanic eruption on the other side of the world has blotted out the sun. Europe is battered by an endless thunderstorm. Trapped inside a villa overlooking Lake Geneva, five young writers gather to tell ghost stories, scandalize one another, and chase immortality.
Before the summer is over, one of them will create a monster.

Mary Shelley Meets a Monster is an intimate theatre experience inspired by the true events that led to the writing of Frankenstein. Audience members are invited into the drawing room of the Villa Diodati to spend an evening with Mary Shelley, Percy Shelley, Lord Byron, Claire Clairmont, and Dr. John Polidori as ambition, romance, jealousy, science, and the supernatural collide.
The performance runs approximately two hours, plus one intermission, and an optional half-hour preshow.

Here's what you need to know.
AGE RESTRICTION: Recommended for ages 16+ due to language, sexual themes, and Gothic horror.
DRESS CODE: No dress code is required. Regency attire and dressing up is warmly encouraged for those who enjoy an excuse to scandalize polite society. There will be a costume contest on Halloween.
PHONES: Please silence and stow your phone before the performance begins. Lord Byron is difficult enough without teaching him what a selfie is.
IMMERSION: Audience participation is always optional. Guests seated in the front row may be invited to engage in brief moments of interaction throughout the evening.
ACCESSIBILITY: Seating is provided for all guests throughout the performance. The immersion is provided mainly by the setting.
