Where is The Starlight Carnival located?

Located behind parking lot 73 and Performance Works, Sculpture Grove runs along Alder Bay in the lush grass and under the billowing trees.

What is Immersive Theatre?

In an immersive theatre show, the audience actively participates in the unfolding narrative, blurring the line between spectator and performer. Unlike traditional theatre where viewers observe from a distance, participants are part of the world of the show. By breaking down the fourth wall, immersive theatre fosters a sense of intimacy and connection between audience members and performers, creating a deeply personal and unique experience for every guest.
With over 6 hours of discoverable content in every 80-minute performance, your unique journey will be different every time you see the show.

Never fear, however: The Starlight Carnival comes with three levels of consent to interaction. Audience members are free to decline participation and just watch the show, accept random acts of immersion, or sign up for the 'Third Level of Immersion'... spots are limited for this special tier of immersion, so arrive early!

What are the rules at The Starlight Carnival?

Keep your lei on if you don't wish to interact.
The performers may initiate touch, but you can't.
Don’t speak unless invited to.
Don't wander during the show (only during preshow and postshow portions).
Be a good sport.
Don't step outside the mushroom circle unless you wish to be lost forever.

Any trigger warnings?

This show explores philosophical ideas about neurodivergence, identity, chosen family, history, humanity, and mortality... But it's all metaphorical.

Is the show scary?

No.
